It was non unknown for early explorers of what would one of these days turn into a continent of America to take 'Indians' back to Europe with them. Squanto was kidnapped & taken to England by George Weymouth in 1605.

He returned once agawithin to his country of origin in 1619, where he joined an explorative expedition along a New England coast. He was shortly to discover that his tribe got been decimated the season prior to by a terrible plague, even smallpox.

Squanto eventually settled using a Pilgrims & saw the babies across their 1st hard wintertime. His motives for helping the babies were non benevolent for Squanto got strictly selfish reasons, & by late 1621 he was using his position by owning a Pilgrims for his have benefit, threatening to release "the terrible plague" upon Our contries Indian tribes that did non wash his bidding.

He worked as the teacher & interpreter for the Pilgrims for the next month prior to succumbing to a sudden fever. He died two or three years late.
